Facial Aesthetics & Wrinkle Treatments

As we get older our inner youth does not always match what we see in the mirror. This is where non-surgical facial treatments can work their magic.

At Plumstead Dental Surgery we have a dentist who is trained in facial rejuvenation and so benefits from a detailed understanding of the facial anatomy, allowing them to use their training to give a naturally enhanced look both in dental procedures and facial rejuvenation techniques.

Please feel free to call us or contact us with any questions you might have, or book in to see our facial aesthetics specialist to see what she can do for you.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers, also known as Restylane are a material that is injected into the skin to help reduce the appearance of wrinkles, deepened contours and to give extra volume to the face. It is based on a substance that occurs naturally in the body called Hyaluronic Acid.

View treatment pricingRestylane can be used in a to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles in the face and add volume to areas such as the lips. Most commonly areas treated are:

  • Nasolabial folds: the line between the nose and the lips;
  • Glabella lines: lines between the eyebrows;
  • Lips: adding volume, shape and hydration.

As a natural product Restylane does not affect your facial expressions so enables you to maintain a natural appearance. The effects of its use last for approximately 1 year however it is usually recommended that you have a follow-up appointment after 6 months.

Anti-Wrinkle Injections

Our anti-wrinkle injections are an alternative, temporary cosmetic treatment for the appearance of moderate-to-severe lines and wrinkles, particularly around the eyes and forehead

The treatment is injected directly into the muscle which temporarily reduces muscle activity and aides the softening of wrinkles in your skin. Each treatment will usually work for approximately 4 months but this can vary from patient to patient.

Your dentist will discuss with you what you hope to achieve from your treatment and help you to decide what the best options are for you. We will make sure that you have all the information available to you to make the right choices for you.
